The quality inspection process for a garment can be divided into several stages, such as:

  • Fabric inspection: This is to check the quality of the fabric before cutting, such as color fastness, PH value, formaldehyde, azo, shrinkage, metal toxic substances, etc. The fabric should also be free of defects such as skewing, yarn breakage, color yarn, stains, color difference, etc.
  • Cutting inspection: This is to check the accuracy and consistency of the cutting, such as the alignment of the pattern, the size of the pieces, the direction of the grain, the number of the layers, etc. The cutting should also avoid any damage or waste of the fabric.
  • Printing and embroidery inspection: This is to check the quality of the printing and embroidery on the garment, such as the position, size, color, pattern, effect, etc. The printing and embroidery should also be smooth, flat, firm, and free of defects such as bubbles, puckering, thread ends, etc.
  • Sewing inspection: This is to check the quality of the sewing on the garment, such as the stitch type, length, tension, width, etc. The sewing should also be neat, smooth, and free of defects such as skipped stitches, broken threads, seam slippage, raw edges, etc.
  • Finishing inspection: This is to check the quality of the finishing on the garment, such as the ironing, trimming, buttoning, zipping, etc. The finishing should also be even, tidy, and free of defects such as wrinkles, scorch marks, loose buttons, faulty zippers, etc.
  • Final inspection: This is to check the overall quality of the garment before packing, such as the appearance, size, style, color, label, etc. The garment should also meet the customer’s requirements and specifications, and comply with the relevant standards and regulations.
